The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LAGOSLGA) is the body responsible for licencing and regulating lotteries and related gaming activities in Lagos, Nigeria.
As part of its core values LagosLGA is committed to creating and promoting a conducive business environment for licenced gaming operators in Lagos, Nigeria. This includes monitoring and ensuring that operators comply with all the relevant laws, regulations and policies relating to the gaming industry.
In a bid to bridge the gap in the skillset in the industry and continued capacity development of the industry workforce, the LagosLGA in partnership with iGaming Academy is introducing a mandatory online training platform accessible to all licenced operators in Lagos, Nigeria. This is in compliance with the new normal: Covid-19 protocol.
iGaming Academy is an international body reputed for its vast knowledge and expertise in gaming since 2015 and trains over 50,000 gaming professionals in over 45 countries each year. The Academy is an accredited training provider by LagosLGA to provide and offer courses with respect to gaming activities to stakeholders in the Lagos gaming industry.
In 2021, the Lagos State Government harmonized into a single document, all laws relating to gaming to accommodate current and future realities of the industry and meet with international best gaming practices and standards. The new law titled, The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority Law 2021 has incorporated the Responsible Gaming Regulations 2021.
