The course will focus on the key principles and practices of conducting an internal audit and/or being audited.
The Internal Auditor is a Key Function which is required as per Gaming Authorizations and Compliance Directive 3 of 2018.
This course focuses on the fundamental concepts of auditing and aims to equip auditors with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct an effective audit. Participants will gain an understanding of the terminology used during the audit and the process to conduct an audit, starting off from the planning, execution, reporting and follow-up. Best practices and principles of auditing will be discussed, as well as the methodologies and techniques used in the process.
Critical & analytical thinking and communication skills will be developed which are necessary for conducting thorough and objective audits. Participants also gain an understanding of the importance of internal controls and how they contribute to the overall governance and risk management of an organisation.
Overall, this training provides a solid foundation for those wishing to further advance in the field of internal auditing.
The course consists of 7 units that can be taken individually, each lasting 2.5 hours. Pick the units that are most relevant or interesting to you to make up your 10 CPD hours.
