iGaming Academy’s Award in iGaming MQF Level 4 course marks a big step for the company and for the Maltese iGaming industry as a whole. Developed in collaboration with the European Gaming Institute of Malta (EGIM) and MCAST, this course is officially recognised within the Maltese Qualification Framework.

On Friday 15th March, iGaming Academy was honoured to welcome Hon. Silvio Schembri, Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation for the course’s inauguration. Over 50 iGaming professionals and government officials gathered at iGaming Academy’s training centre in St. Julian’s to celebrate its launch and hear more on the course’s future. In a speech to the audience there, iGaming Academy’s managing director Jaime Debono said

“The first MQF course allows students with or without industry experience to grasp a better understanding of iGaming from a business perspective. In addition to this, through several feedback runs with our iGaming clients, iGaming Academy has been able to create a level of recognition for the training from the industry itself”.

This was followed by a statement from the Hon. Silvio Schembri who said

“…the demand to work in this industry is growing from the last study we carried out. At any one point in time there were around 700 vacancies in Malta in the gaming industry which are not being met by the available supply and therefore we need to train more Maltese people so that as many Maltese as possible can benefit from this industry.”
