The growth of online education has created a great demand for eLearning, and testing is a critical part of eLearning development. Although eLearning has existed for decades now, its popularity has exploded in recent years, partly due to the pandemic. Companies across the world are utilising eLearning services to engage and enhance their training programmes so that their employees can access online learning material and develop new skills.

The goal of testing is to ensure that a product works seamlessly for the end-user experience. This generally involves making sure a piece of software is not impacted in its functionality, efficiency, and usability. When it comes to eLearning QA testing, the two most important parts are usability and “learnability” of the course.

So how does iGaming Academy ensure that our courses are error-free and frictionless to use?

Check out some of our development team’s tips below:

User experience testing

When doing QA testing on an eLearning product, the “learnability” of the course is the main priority. This refers to how the course functions and is usually defined by testing a combination of the course and platform’s usability, functionality, accessibility, and performance.

Any issues in these areas can negatively impact the user experience and cause friction between the student and the platform. These must be addressed in the eLearning development process to ensure that any possible issues are eliminated.

Functional testing

As our eLearning courses contain different learning resources, such as interactive and collaborative materials, examinations, images and videos, special consideration and testing must be performed to ensure all resources are functioning as intended. Typically, this means that the product is launched in a browser and interaction occurs from End-to-End.

Compatibility testing

Compatibility testing is essential for eLearning, therefore making sure that the software works correctly across all major browsers, platforms, and devices is a must. As the learners access the courses using a variety of different devices, it should always be ensured that the user experience is the same, regardless of what type of device a person is using to connect to the eLearning platform.

We have successfully trained over 40,000 employees on our eLearning platform and our courses QA testing process has greatly contributed to this success!
